People act like the government has bottomless pockets.

But where does the government get its money?

From the people through a variety of taxes (a sum of money demanded by a government for its support or for specific facilities or services, levied upon incomes, property, sales, etc.)

Do you as one of the people have bottomless pockets? Do your friends? neighbours?

If ‘the people’ don’t have bottomless pockets, how could government?
